Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons loose rooibos tea or 4 rooibos tea bags
  • Lemon slices or juice to taste
  • Sweetener of choice honey, stevia, or sugar, optional
  • Ice cubes for iced version
  • Optional Fresh mint or fruit for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Bring the filtered water to a boil using a kettle or pot.
  • Place loose rooibos tea in a strainer/infuser, or use tea bags, and add to the teapot or pitcher.
  • Pour the boiling water over the tea and let steep for 5–7 minutes (longer for stronger flavor).
  • Remove the tea bags or strain out the leaves.
  • Add lemon juice and sweetener if desired while the tea is hot. Stir well.
  • For hot tea: Serve immediately in cups.
  • For iced tea: Let the tea cool for 10 minutes, pour over ice in glasses, and garnish with lemon slices or mint.
  • Store extra tea in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Use more tea for a bolder taste.
Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free, making it perfect for any time of day.
Add mint, fresh ginger, or fruit for flavor variation.
Sweetener is optional for a low-calorie version.
