Ingredients
  

  • 3 –4 fresh okra pods sliced lengthwise
  • 1.5 cups filtered water
  • 1 slice lemon optional – flavor and vitamin C
  • 2 –3 mint leaves optional – digestion support
  • 1 tsp raw honey optional – mild sweetness

Instructions
 

  • Wash and trim the okra pods – Rinse 3–4 fresh okra pods thoroughly under cool water. Cut off both ends.
  • Slice each okra lengthwise – This helps release the mucilage during soaking.
  • Place the sliced okra in a glass jar and pour in 1.5 cups of filtered water.
  • Add lemon, mint, or honey if desired for flavor and added health benefits. (Optional)
  • Cover and refrigerate for 8–12 hours to allow the water to absorb nutrients.
  • Strain the okra water using a fine mesh or cheesecloth. Discard the pods.
  • Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in a sealed glass container.

Notes

Best consumed on an empty stomach for maximum nutrient absorption.
Do not soak longer than 24 hours.
Use only fresh okra to avoid bitterness.
