- 9 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: Olive oil spray
Place tortellini in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let stand for 5 minutes to soften. Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.
In a medium bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, dried basil, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
Dip each tortellini in the beaten eggs, then coat in the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange coated tortellini in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Fry in batches as needed.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch.
Use refrigerated tortellini for best results.
For extra crispiness, spray coated tortellini lightly with olive oil before air frying.
Oven method: Bake breaded tortellini at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes, turning halfway.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Reheat in air fryer for 3–5 minutes at 350°F.
